The É«ÀÇÉçÇøCPSU NSW has long been at the vanguard of promoting women’s issues in the workplace. This union pioneered domestic violence leave and are constantly fighting for pay equity across the public sector, as well as benefits such as maternity leave and lactation breaks.
Female members represent 65 per cent of the É«ÀÇÉçÇøCPSU NSW membership and are strongly represented by the union’s women’s council currently 95 years young.
The union comprises a dedicated women’s unit within the industrial support area with a purpose in promoting better outcomes for women in the workplace. Through research, evidence-based outcomes have been at the forefront of successes and in conjunction with the Women’s Council Committee issues within the workplace and broader community are highlighted, campaigns worked on for improvements within society.
Each year, a Women’s Conference is conducted bringing together delegates from across the state to discuss issues pertinent to you.
