É«ÀÇÉçÇøupdate: MyWorkZone, P-Card and travel

  15 July 2026

MyWorkZone transition issues

The Public Service Association (PSA) has been advised of issues relating to the rollout of MyWorkZone. There have beenÌýreports of:

  • Incorrect flex balances following the transition.
  • Delays in correcting payroll, leave and flex errors.
  • Service desk tickets remaining unresolved for extended periods.
  • Inconsistent responses and outcomes when seeking assistance.
  • Concerns about the reliability of automated corrections.
  • The apparent loss of historical data and difficulties accessing original records when discrepancies arise.
  • Members advise periods of leave are displayed for all to see in the calendar regardless of length of time. The business advises it considers it is not a breach of privacy.

P-Card travel and allowances issues continue

Members also reported ongoing difficulties with travel and expense processes, including:

  • Delays and confusion with Travel Approval Applications (TAAs).
  • Unclear approval and delegation pathways.
  • Challenges using Concur for travel and allowance claims.
  • Uncertainty regarding meal allowances, P-Cards and reimbursement arrangements.

Despite recent communications from SafeWork NSW, the É«ÀÇÉçÇømaintains the advice issued to members on 23 June 2026.

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøis disappointed that SafeWork NSW has not provided the union with a draft travel policy reflecting the agreement accepted by members. That agreement provides for the payment of allowances under Clause 26 of the Crown Employees (Public Service Conditions of Employment) Reviewed Award, less the value of meal or incidental expenses incurred on a P-Card, effective from 1 July 2026.

ÌýAs no draft policy has been provided for consultation, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøadvises members that they are under no obligation to use a P-Card. Until an agreed travel policy is in place, members should continue to claim their entitlements in accordance with Clause 26 of the Award where appropriate.

É«ÀÇÉçÇøaction

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøwill continue to:

  • Monitor the impacts of the MyWorkZone rollout.
  • Raise members’ concerns directly with management.
  • Advocate for the timely resolution of payroll, flex, leave and travel administration issues.
  • Seek clear and consistent travel and allowance arrangements for all staff.

Members experiencing ongoing issues should:

  • Document any problems they encounter.
  • Retain relevant records, screenshots and correspondence.
  • Keep the É«ÀÇÉçÇøinformed so concerns can be escalated collectively.
