É«ÀÇÉçÇøraises concerns over NPWS roles for Administrative Assistant Clerk 1/2
At the Planning and Environment Joint Consultative Committee meeting held 12 December, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøreiterated our concern regarding the Administrative Assistants Clerk Grade 1/2 classifications being directed by their supervisor to undertake functions of higher-graded roles.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøbelieves this issue is not isolated to just a few workplaces. It is endemic at NPWS offices across the state. The É«ÀÇÉçÇøwas advised that NPWS Directors had been briefed on this matter. Whilst this may be the case, it would appear the message has not filtered down from the Directors to NPWS workplaces.
This being the case, the É«ÀÇÉçÇødirects all its clerical staff members not to perform the duties of a classification higher. The É«ÀÇÉçÇøwill continue to advocate that ALL members only undertake the duties as indicated in their Role Description. We ask that members contact the É«ÀÇÉçÇøshould this not be the case.
