Personal Injury Commission – Dispute Resolution Services: Members’ bulletin

  31 March 2023

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas been made aware that there has been a business review and a proposed change to the Finance and Organisational Performance Directorate that will impact on staff in that area.

If other members who have not been in touch with the É«ÀÇÉçÇøacross the Personal Injury Commission have any other concerns in relation to this, they are invited to contact the É«ÀÇÉçÇøthrough or 1800 772 679 quote call no: 200992 so that we can raise these matters with Employee Relations for you.

2023 state election: What does this mean for the Public Sector moving forward?

The weekend saw a change in government. One of the key issues the É«ÀÇÉçÇøfought on last year, including our strike action, was to scrap the wages cap. The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas sought a number of assurances from the new government and the Premier has already announced the cap has gone. We expect the provisions that prohibit the NSW Industrial Relations Commission in awarding salary increases outside of the previous governments wages policy to also be repealed.

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøis very aware of the current cost-of-living pressures on our members. In our own small we way we try to help, and as such have not raised our membership fees for three consecutive years. But what members really need is a decent pay rise. The work for this has begun and we will keep members up to date with the negotiations as they progress.
