Dear members,
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas been made aware of a Draft Expected Participation Model that has been provided to SafeWork Inspectors HSRs for feedback. Notwithstanding a number of concerns in relation to short consultation timeframes and content the priority issue for the É«ÀÇÉçÇøat the moment is the shift from a ‘voluntary’ participation model to an ‘opt out’ model in contravention to the Memorandum of Understanding – WorkCover Inspectors Schedule 1.
As such, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas requested the Department immediately defer all engagement with Inspectors on this until the industrial issues can be resolved.  Click HERE for correspondence.
Should the Department not be willing to meet the PSA’s requests, we will be seeking the immediate assistance of the NSW Industrial Relations Commission.
