On 28 April 2016, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøsent out a bulletin to all members affected by the Administration and Stores Review. A copy of that bulletin is HERE.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøwas in the Industrial Relations Committee on 2 May 2016 at 9am for further conciliation on the Administration and Stores Review and restructure. The Commissioner was very supportive of the É«ÀÇÉçÇørecommending that the Department did indeed need to engage in constructive consultation on the review.
Additionally, Commissioner Newall also recommended that the É«ÀÇÉçÇøprovide the Department with an alternate structure to the Department’s by Monday, 9 May 2016.
Although the É«ÀÇÉçÇøand delegates have the necessary information for regional areas we still need to obtain feedback and ideas on an alternate restructure document from the metropolitan remand centres.
Face to face meetings will be organised as a matter of urgency for this week in metro centres to obtain the information necessary to add to the submission. However, due to time constraints, teleconferences will be necessary for some centres.
Lastly, Commissioner Newall stated that both parties must meet in three weeks from 2 May 2016 to discuss the alternate structure with representatives from each centre present.
