Five reasons we need separate agreements
- Only Professional Staff should vote on Professional Staff conditions. We know what we need as Professional Staff, why would we let someone else make decisions for us?
- Separate Agreements respect the different needs and workplace cultures of Professional Staff and Academics.
- Separate Agreements = an Agreement 100 per cent relevant to us.
- A single Agreement makes it easier to cut conditions for all
- A single Agreement is a race to the bottom. Bare minimum becomes the norm.
Maintaining separate Agreements is the only way we can maintain our world-class conditions of employment. That’s something worth fighting for.
Don’t forget to sign our petition to tell the university that we’re not interested in bargaining away our conditions.
