Legal Aid lawyers often have to deal with material that is confronting and traumatic. Without the appropriate tools to manage this, lawyers can suffer vicarious trauma that will have an ongoing effect on their careers and their health.

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas engaged Rape and Domestic Violence Services Australia to deliver a seminar on how to manage vicarious trauma.

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøLegal Aid delegates would like to invite their colleagues at ODPP to attend this seminar.

When: 4:30-5:30pm, Thursday 6 April 2017

Where: Level 12, Head Office

by 4 April 2017. Limited to 60 and priority will be for É«ÀÇÉçÇømembers.

The seminar will be followed by drinks and nibbles with delegates and Rachel Francois, the Unions NSW nominee to the Legal Aid Board.

The training will look at identification, risk factors and management of vicarious trauma with a focus on the effectiveness of different management techniques both at an organisational and individual level. It will attract 1 MCLE point.
