Urgent Notice – Recording of Industrial Action in My Work Zone

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas been made aware that a process may have been implemented requiring the filling out of spreadsheets recording those who participated in É«ÀÇÉçÇøIndustrial Action.
A reminder that members who participated in Industrial Action should record their absence on MWZ using code 0851 – Industrial Action.
This process is sufficient for the Department to meet their obligations under the Industrial Relations Act to not pay any employee in respect of time spent engaging in industrial action.
There is no need for any other process which seeks to record participation, and the use of any other process could be considered victimization under the Act.
