Update on Premiers Department’s briefing of staff and É«ÀÇÉçÇømembers
Following the bulletin to members of 2 September 2025 SEE HERE the É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas held meetings with members from the Operations branches, Workplaces, Transport Services, and Fleet teams on 5 September, and met with the Ministerial Drivers on 10 September to discuss the department’s current restructure proposal.
Members have made it clear that there are major concerns regarding the proposal and a number of operational issues need to be addressed before this proposal is implemented.  The É«ÀÇÉçÇøwrote to the department on 11 September SEE HERE to request an extension to the consultation period until 25 September, and we have requested a meeting next week to deal with the operational concerns of members.
The department has advised the É«ÀÇÉçÇøand members via an email from the department’s executive that they agree to extend extend the consultation period until the 25 September.
