University of Newcastle Annual General Meeting notice

Want to be more involved in your union? Become a É«ÀÇÉçÇø(CPSU) University of Newcastle Branch delegate.
Nominations are now open for the following positions to represent members at Newcastle University:
- Delegate x 4
- Ourimbah delegate
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Assistant Secretary
- Membership Registrar
- Indigenous Representative
- Women’s Officer; and
- Contacts.
As a delegate or other representative, you’ll be involved in:
- Setting the collective targets and objectives of the Branch committee
- Promoting the values and advantages of union membership in your workplace
- Maintaining regular contact with members
- Recruiting new members with the aim of obtaining 100% union membership
- Participating in negotiations with Newcastle University management to advocate on behalf of members
- Assisting members with grievances and other issues which members wish to take up with management.
All delegates to the workplace group will be given free training by the É«ÀÇÉçÇø(CPSU) in your role as well as ongoing support from your union.
All financial members of the É«ÀÇÉçÇøare welcome to nominate. Nominations are open until COB 4 May.

- Have your nomination proposed and seconded by financial members
- Sign it as accepted by the nominee
