University of Newcastle – Response to members’ survey

Thank you for taking the time to respond to the survey in relation to the new terms and conditions for your next Enterprise Agreement. Of the respondents, 77.6% indicated a willingness to endorse based on the package on offer.
A completed draft of the proposed new Enterprise Agreement will be available soon and, after your bargaining team is satisfied that it reflects the conditions negotiated at the table, we will arrange a zoom meeting to go through it with you.
We expect the university will put it out to a staff vote in the coming weeks and you will need to be fully informed to make your decision.
Although we are disappointed that it took so long, and absolutely devastated to have lost our Organiser, Ron Hunter, through the process, we are pleased that we were able to maintain all current conditions and to work collaboratively at the table to do so.
