The É«ÀÇÉçÇøbecame aware in September that Transport for NSW (TfNSW) had developed a Technical Capability Framework (TCF). The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhad not been notified that this was being developed nor was it consulted on the development of the TCF.
We are informed by TfNSW that the intention is to provide a common language for the technical capability required across all of Transport, including Sydney Trains and NSW Trains. It would be similar to the Capability Framework.
We have been assured that TfNSW will consult on the implementation of the TCF. However, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøis concerned about the lack of consultation with the É«ÀÇÉçÇøon the framework itself. Professionals Australia shares the same concern. Therefore, Professionals Australia and the É«ÀÇÉçÇøare currently in dispute with TfNSW concerning the lack of consultation for the TCF.
Whilst we remain in dispute regarding consultation, we are informed by TfNSW that there will be ‘Town Halls held over the coming weeks with employees. Once we have those dates, we will inform members.
