The Public Sector Needs a Pay Rise: Newcastle/Hunter Campaign Action Group

You are invited to the first meeting of the Newcastle/Hunter Campaign Action Group.
The NSW wages system is broken, preventing the NSW Industrial Relations Commission from awarding a fair and decent pay rise for Public Sector workers.
The 8 June Day of Action was only one step in many to fix the broken system that holds down not only Public Sector wages, but other pay rates, too. To make change we need to continue the campaign and to get local, both in our workplaces and the community. That is why your union is establishing the Newcastle/Hunter Campaign Action Group, that will assist with building É«ÀÇÉçÇøCPSU NSW actions, both in the workplace and local community, initially relating to the Public Sector Needs a Pay Rise Campaign. Some of the ways this will be done is by identifying
- É«ÀÇÉçÇøCPSU NSW worksites to leaflet etc.
- Potential community events
- Political lobbying opportunities.
