TAFE NSW OPENS ACCESS PERIOD ON NEW TAFE ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT

As previously advised, the Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU NSW) has reached in-principle agreement with TAFE NSW on the terms of a new enterprise agreement for administrative, support and related employees. Click to see our previous update.

TAFE NSW will shortly open an “access period”. This is a requirement under the Fair Work Act 2009 and allows staff to review the proposed enterprise agreement prior to a ballot of all eligible employees.

In addition to a copy of the proposed enterprise agreement, TAFE NSW will also provide a document which explains the terms and conditions in the new enterprise agreement. This is also a requirement under the FW Act.

Access Period: (4-11 September)

The Access period will be open from Wednesday 4 to Wednesday 11 September.

From the union’s perspective, the access period is an opportunity for members to ask questions, raise issues and generally seek our advice on what is being proposed.

Joint presentations

As you would have already seen from the TAFE NSW email notifications, the CPSU NSW and TAFE will jointly present the proposed new enterprise agreement by video conference (VC) and at onsite visits.

Union-only meetings

Following each of the joint presentations, the CPSU NSW will hold half hour member only meetings in which we will discuss and answer your questions.

These meetings are important and we encourage all members to attend in person or via video conference.
