TAFE NSW Enterprise Agreement Update

Interest Based Bargaining – JOINT COMMUNICATION
The Interest-based bargaining committee (IBB) met at Ultimo TAFE on 13 September 2023 to continue bargaining for the new enterprise agreement.
The bargaining committee returned to and reached in principle agreement on the following improved entitlements on the following topics:
- Converting casual and temporary employment to permanent employment in certain circumstances
- Parental leave
- Evidence requirements for sick leave
- Flexible work requests
- Updating language around leave entitlements to better reflect language in the Fair Work Act 2009
- Union rights
TAFE and the CPSU will continue discussion on the following topics:
- Flex time
- Higher duties
- Acting up
- Consultation
- Remote working/Working from home
- Workload pressures
- Classification review
The committee aims to finalise all outstanding topics for discussions at the next meetings which will be 26 and 27 September 2023 to progress at É«ÀÇÉçÇøHouse to continue bargaining.
