Survey – Traumatic Stress in Australian Correctional Staff

Charles Sturt University are currently researching the effects of traumatic stress on staff who work in Corrective Service jurisdictions across Australia. The POVB are striving to assist our Members by finding research initiatives and programs that keep us safe in the workplace and when we are at home with our families.
Correctional Officers have some of the highest rates of suicide and PTSD of any industry in Australia which is related to the often traumatic incidents we encounter in our workplace.
The POVB State Executive fully supports the research being conducted by Charles Sturt University and encourages all POVB Members to click on the link below and complete the survey, which is anonymous and confidential.
