The first full meeting of the new Sheriffs Officers Vocational Branch Advisory Group (SOVBAG)Ìýcommittee meeting was heldÌýWednesday, 23 September 2020. The new SOVBAG committee is now more inclusive and representationalÌýof all staff working in the Sheriff’sÌýOffice (SHO).
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøexecutive recently approved a rule change to the SOVBAG Constitution and Rules Charter thatÌýallow’sÌýother staff groups workingÌýin the Sheriff’s Office,Ìýmembership status inÌýSOVBAG.Ìý
The SOVBAG committee now includesÌýCourt Officer’s, Pamela McKenzie and Stephanie NikolovskaÌýand Civil Operations UnitÌý(COU)ÌýGrace Muir asÌýrepresentatives.Ìý
The new SOVBAG committee will meet with the Sheriff of NSW,ÌýTracey Hall and her executive team to discuss workplace, industrial, policiesÌýand WHSÌýissues that affect staff in the Office of the Sheriff JCC on Thursday, 24 September 2020.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøand SOVBAG will advocate strongly on all group and individual issues that affect SHO staff. Your SOVBAG committee is only as strong as it’s members – so get involved and encourage non-members to join to ensure you have a strong voice to will fight to protect your rights at work.
