The Public Service Association is concerned about the ongoing implementation of the Learning Management Business Reform, particularly in relation to the inadequate levels of support and training provided to administrative staff in the 229 Empowering Local Schools.

The Primary Principals Association has also expressed grave concerns and has raised these with the Minister and the Deputy Director General Peter Riordan.

Sue Walsh, President of the Public Service Association, has contacted Peter Riordan and a meeting of the Public Service Association and the Department of Education and Communities is scheduled for Thursday 28th November.

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøwill inform members of the outcome of the meeting.

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøis aware of the pressure being experienced by SAS staff in the 229 schools. In order to assist the É«ÀÇÉçÇøa brief survey will be sent to the 229 schools to gather statistics enabling the É«ÀÇÉçÇøto represent members to ensure appropriate levels of support are provided to SAS staff.
