SAP HR Payroll Release 4 Rescheduled

Following widespread member concerns, the ɫ������met with the Department and made submissions about the need to suspend the ‘go live’ date for Release 4 of the HR payroll system.

This morning (15 August 2018) the ɫ������met with the Department to hear its response following the meeting between Deputy Secretary Peter Riordan and the Minister for Education to raise the Union’s concerns.

The Department has told the ɫ������it has “heard, listened, and reacted” to the representations made on members’ behalf and will try to ameliorate any impact of Release 4 by rescheduling this for 8 November 2018.

The Department has advised that face-to-face training focussing on administrative staff  will be organised during the first four weeks of Term 4. This training will address processes that have been identified by EDConnect as issues experienced by schools having implemented HR Payroll.

The inadequacy of training was a major problem identified by members in a recent survey and other feedback, which has been provided to the Department by the PSA.

The Department has also committed to ongoing consultation. Regular meetings will be set up to address issues raised by union members.
