Salaries update

On Friday 17 July 2022 the É«ÀÇÉçÇøappeared in the Industrial Relations Commission (IRC) to demand a salary increase that will allow members to keep up with the upward spiralling cost of living.
However, in the IRC, the State Government continued its claim for a three per cent increase, which will be made up of a 2.53 per cent salary increase and a 0.5 per cent increase to superannuation.
Members should note the superannuation increase is mandated by the Federal Government for all wages earners and will happen regardless of any decision from the IRC.
As no agreement has been reached between the É«ÀÇÉçÇøand the State Government, arbitration between the parties will now proceed. There will be a hearing before a full bench on Friday 22 July 2022.
