Rural Fire Service member survey

As part of the É«ÀÇÉçÇø– Rural Fire Service (RFS) Supreme Court settlement earlier this year, the RFS and É«ÀÇÉçÇøare to enter into negotiations to work toward modernising the outdated Crown Employees (Rural Fire Service) Award.

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøand your delegates have developed a survey to engage with our membership to collate what members would like to see in a new award.

The purpose of this survey is to identify the amendments to the Crown Employees (Rural Fire Service) Award which are desired by the membership. Once identified, we will pursue these amendments by negotiation with the RFS. If we are unable to reach agreement with the RFS, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøwill then seek these amendments in hearing before the Industrial Relations Commission.

Remember, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøis the employee representative. The RFS cannot and does not represent the interests of employees. Only É«ÀÇÉçÇømembers can have say on the employment conditions of RFS employees.
