Response to Environment Protection Authority Circular titled “Acting Chair & CEO Message – 14 May 2019”

The ɫhas received a number of enquiries in relation to Circular titled “Acting Chair & CEO Message – 14 May 2019” issued by Environment Protection Authority Acting Chair and Chief Executive Officer, Mark Gifford, in part stating:
“… there are changes coming that will affect the EPA. Consideration of these changes, their function and how they should be grouped will be worked through in the coming weeks, with the aim of having a number of changes in place by the July 1 required deadline…”
To date, the ɫhas not been contacted with respect to these pending changes within the EPA.
Officers from the ɫalong with ɫdelegates will be attending a meeting with Mr Jim Betts, Secretary of Planning Industry and Environment on Friday 24 May 2019 in order to addressed the PSA’s concerns.
Prior consultation between the ɫand our members, in accordance with the Consultative Arrangement Policy and Guidelines 1997, is necessary before any announcement of any change takes place.
