Reduced operations at Cobham YJC due to Covid-19

The 色狼社区is aware聽that Cobham YJC is now聽on reduced operations as a result of a聽staff member testing positive to Covid-19 whilst in the workplace for a period聽1 and half shifts.
At yesterday鈥檚 JCC meeting (Thursday 19 August), the聽Executive Director provided his聽update on聽the recent聽Cobham Covid-19 incident including the聽following actions and plans聽in place:
- A Covid-19聽command post聽was set up and a聽contact聽tracing process聽commenced with around聽60 staff members聽identified聽as having some contact and are completing various testing.
- All young persons聽in Cobham聽are in lockdown procedure聽whilst contact聽tracing is undertaken to聽establish any聽young persons who may be聽required for medical isolation or rapid testing.
- A small number of 鈥渁t risk鈥澛爏taff with pre-existing health conditions have also聽been directed on special leave until further notice. Any members who聽have health concerns should discuss this with their聽Unit Managers聽and Centre Manager and consider available flexible arrangements in place.
- Police are aware of the incident and are working with YJNSW to reallocate new admissions聽to Reiby YJC.
- Each Centre聽is to undertake a process to demystify and raise awareness of聽the聽Covid-19 Action Plans with its staff.

The recent cases reinforce the importance of all staff regardless of their location being familiar with COVID protocols.聽 The聽色狼社区advises members to聽follow your Centre鈥檚聽Covid-19 Action Plan and ensure strict adherence to the wearing of PPE and Covid-19 protocols.
