Rally to support the Goulburn community: 30 April at Belmore Park

We would appreciate your support in showing up and letting the NSW Government know just how important Goulburn is.
Without proper consultation with the affected staff and Goulburn community, the NSW Government is planning to strip hundreds of jobs from correctional centres across the state, including Goulburn Gaol. This is not just a workplace issue, it’s a community crisis.

When jobs leave Goulburn, money leaves Goulburn. Local families feel it. Local businesses feel it. Our town feels it. We are staring down the loss of more than $10 million every year from our local economy, money that supports shops, services, and livelihoods right across our community.
For well over 100 years, Goulburn Gaol has been part of the backbone of the town. What’s being proposed isn’t just a decision on paper, it’s a decision that will ripple through every street, every business, and every household.
Now is the time for our members to stand together with the people of Goulburn.
This is not just a fight for the staff and their families, but for the future of the entire community.
