Further to our É«ÀÇÉçÇøemail dated 9 February 2015, the vote by POVB members as undertaken at all Correctional Centres on Monday 9 February 2015 has been collated.
The result of the ballot of either Option 1 or Option 2 as proposed by the POVB Management Committee is that members voted in favour of Option 1:
- Option 1 – 23 votes
- Option 2 – 21 votes
As a result of the endorsement of Option 1, Corrective Services NSW have sought the assistance of the NSW Industrial Relations Commission to seek to have the ban on taking further inmate numbers lifted.
The matter has been set for hearing today, Friday 13 February 2015 at 3.00pm.
