The dates for your É«ÀÇÉçÇøRecognition Week 2021 have been set.
Recognition Week is a great É«ÀÇÉçÇøinitiative your union organises and celebrates each year for members and the important work you do. In the early 2000s the É«ÀÇÉçÇølaunched the first ever SAS Staff Recognition Week and it is still going strong today.
Now, 20 years later, the role of É«ÀÇÉçÇømembers in schools has grown and changed. Along with the huge contributions of our SASS members, including School Learning Support Officers, School Admin Managers, School Admin Officers, Aboriginal Education Officers and Business Managers, we also celebrate those in other non-teaching roles in schools such as our wonderful General Assistants, School Psychologists, Student Support Officers, Community Liaison Officers and many others who all make significant contributions to the school community.
Last year showed the absolute best of what School Support Staff do in difficult times. Through fire, flood and pandemic, you kept schools running and continued to support students, teaching staff and your community.

We want to recognise and thank school members and the teams they work in (small or large), who work so hard to support students, teachers and parents, as well as each other, to ensure a fair workplace where everyone is respected.
