É«ÀÇÉçÇøraises Firearms Registry concerns – July 2018 (PDF version)

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas been in consultation with NSW Police about proposed changes at the Firearms Registry.

NSW Police has not provided any change management documentation or details of any structural change. The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas raised a number of concerns about the Firearms Registry, including job security and workloads.

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøalso sought an extension of the temporary contracts that currently expire on 1 September 2018.

The success to date in having contracts extended and staving off further crippling job cuts has come from the collective activity of members on the ground and ongoing support from the PSA.

It is critical this momentum is maintained in the fight for your job security and appropriate staffing levels. This is a big turning point in the way the agency is run and we need every staff member to be involved in the fight for appropriate staffing levels by joining the PSA.
