É«ÀÇÉçÇøLodges Dispute over Biodiversity, Conservation and Science Restructure

On 19 September 2023, a restructure occurring in the Community Engagement and Nature Positive Farming: Biodiversity, Conservation and Science Directorate was announced. The proposed Change Management Plan outlined the deletion of 28 positions.
Since this announcement, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas been actively engaging with affected members. Members have consistently voiced their dissatisfaction with the handling of their concerns, citing a lack of adequate consultation, information, and response from the Department.
In response to the ongoing concerns, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas taken the step of initiating dispute proceedings in the Industrial Relations Commission (the IRC).
This dispute will be formally addressed before the IRC, at the hearing set for Monday 10am 23 October 2023. Members can expect a report back from their É«ÀÇÉçÇøindustrial representatives.
