É«ÀÇÉçÇøIndustrial Dispute and Upcoming Meeting
30 August 2021
On Thursday the 26th August, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøpresented to the Industrial Relations Commission of NSW (IRC) a dispute with the EPA. The É«ÀÇÉçÇøargued that we had not been provided with the updated Change Management Plan nor had the EPA engaged the É«ÀÇÉçÇøin any proper consultation process regarding the Business Administration and Support (BAS) Review. The É«ÀÇÉçÇøalso raised concerns with the inconsistencies of the newly created role descriptions, where lower graded roles had some higher capabilities than higher grade classifications.
As a result of this dispute, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas been successful in seeking an up-to-date change management plan. The EPA are to provide a change management plan to the É«ÀÇÉçÇøby 31 August 2021. Following this, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas 7 days to consult with our members and respond to the EPA. As part of this consultation there will be a members’ meeting, the details of which are as follows:
Date: Wednesday, 8th September
Time: 12:30 – 1:30pm

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøwould like to advise members that the status quo remains in the functions of the newly created roles that have been created after stage three. The matter has been stood over in the IRC until the 16th September, pending further consultation with the PSA.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas also been advised of another review undertaken by an independent consultation firm. We are currently seeking feedback from our members on this matter also.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøwill continue the fight to ensure EPA staff are treated fairly and in accordance with the EPA’s industrial obligations. If you know someone who is not a member, please encourage them to join at psa.asn.au/join
