É«ÀÇÉçÇøForestry Corporation of NSW Bulletin
25 February 2016
On 23 February 2016, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøand AWU met with management of the Forestry Corporation of NSW. We are involved in the dispute with Forestry Corporation about management’s proposal removing face-to-face Joint Consultative Committees (JCCS).
This matter had been the subject of conciliation as members were informed in our previous bulletin; see link .
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøis pleased to report management has backed down from insisting the next JCC not be face-to-face. Management has agreed to discuss alternative strategies to reduce the cost of JCCs, yet still have meaningful consultation.
The dispute in the Fair Work Commission has now been stood over generally. The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas not agreed to any proposal, instead merely agreeing to talk to management to find a way forward.
We will continue to keep members up to date. If you have any queries about this matter, please contact Dean Allen .
