The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas expressed frustration at the Department’s failure to engage in meaningful consultation over new temporary staff conversion guidelines.
Following the commencement of the Government Sector Employment Act 2013, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøwrote to FACS in relation to new rules governing temporary employment.
At the time, the Department assured the É«ÀÇÉçÇøthat it would develop new draft guidelines for the agency and seek our input before finalising arrangements.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøwas disappointed to learn the Department had ignored its earlier commitment and instead issued new guidelines unilaterally.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas not agreed to the current FACS guidelines for temporary conversion.
Your union believes the Department has not acted in accordance with the agreed consultative arrangements, and will take action to address the issue.
