Parliamentary Inquiry into Museums and Galleries

The NSW Parliament has re-established the Select Committee on the Government’s management of the Powerhouse Museum and other museums and cultural projects in New South Wales.
The terms of reference are heavily focused on the move of the Powerhouse Museum to Parramatta, but do also focus on the other museums and galleries the State Government funds.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøwill be making a submission to this inquiry to support our members who have been going through extensive changes both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In times such as now when there is uncertainty about a range of corporate partners, we will be advocating for increased funding of and a larger role for our state run cultural Museums, Galleries and Library across NSW.
We would like your views about some of the key terms of reference in this inquiry and are seeking your views through the survey .
