Operational Review of Building, Consumer & Property
6 August 2021
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøis extremely concerned with the lack of consultation that has occurred following the operational review of the Building, Consumer & Property (BCP) which we were initially notified of in May 2021.
Unfortunately, this is another recent example of  inappropriate consultation with the É«ÀÇÉçÇøoccurring around operational changes that potentially impact the roles of our members.
Thanks to the PSA’s Delegate in promoting the concerns of members, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøraised the BCP review at the Restructure Joint Consultative Committee that was held on 5 August 2021.
At this time the Department’s representatives were unable to provide the É«ÀÇÉçÇøwith any specific responses to concerns raised by the Building Inspectors since the new operational changes came into effect from Monday 2 August 2021 however, they have committed to arrange for urgent meetings between the Department and the É«ÀÇÉçÇøwhich we expect to occur early next week.
This meeting will be attended by both É«ÀÇÉçÇøIndustrial Staff and your É«ÀÇÉçÇøDelegate and following that we will arrange for a Member’s Meeting via Teams to discuss further with you.
