NSWPF Departmental Committee

The Departmental Committee is a democratically elected committee of Public Service Association (PSA) members from the NSWPF electorates. Elections for the committee are held every two years in accordance with requirements defined in the É«ÀÇÉçÇøBy Laws.

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøDepartmental Committee meets every three months at É«ÀÇÉçÇøHouse.

The committee develops positions on issues affecting the NSWPF membership. The committee is also an advisory body to representatives to the Joint Consultative Committee and the É«ÀÇÉçÇøgoverning body, Central Council.

Under special leave award provisions, É«ÀÇÉçÇøDepartmental Committee members are released from duty to attend these meetings, which are planned 12 months in advance at the beginning of each year.

Member Support Centre

Members are reminded the É«ÀÇÉçÇøoffers support through a number of avenues. It is always desirable to resolve workplace and individual issues at the local level. In many instances workplace delegates may provide advice and support in workplace matters.

However, if you have followed all internal NSWPF policy and procedures for resolving workplace issues without success, you should register the issue with the Member Support Centre (MSC) on 1800 772 679. Member advocates will provide advice and assistance, as required. Registering your issue with the MSC is the first step in the process of attempting to satisfactorily and fairly resolve your issue if all other attempts have failed.

Workplace visits

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøis visiting NSWPF work sites and will be collating feedback from members. If you would like to arrange a members’ meeting or a worksite visit, please contact É«ÀÇÉçÇøOrganiser Nicole Rufus via the Member Support Centre.
