The NSW Treasurer, Dominic Perrottet, handed down the NSW Budget for 2019-20 on Tuesday 18 June 2019.
He promised that the NSW Government will “build a better future for everyone in NSW, no matter where they live” by funding the commitments they made at the state election in March 2019.
Just before the election, Premier Berejiklian also told the people of NSW, “You can have it all”.
We now know that is not true. Up to three thousand public service jobs have been earmarked to go over the next four years. They are cutting us to the bone. There is no “fat” to cut, as they like to say.
In addition, new Machinery of Government changes take effect on 1 July 2019, seeing restructures, job losses and more uncertainty for NSW public servants
