As distributed via email on Tuesday 10 October, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas been speaking with a number of community organisations who are outraged at the current restructure and the effect it will have on dedicated and hardworking NPWS staff.
As a result of these discussions. the É«ÀÇÉçÇøwill be holding a day of action on Thursday 19 October. The day of action will be a chance for these community organisations to stand in solidarity with É«ÀÇÉçÇømembers by holding short rallies in key regional areas. The day of action is not Industrial Action, and the É«ÀÇÉçÇøis not directing any of its members to stop work. However members may wish to attend an event near them in their lunch breaks, and are strongly encouraged to do so.
Day of action events will be held between 12:00-1:00pm in:
- Griffith – 200 Yambil Street

Note: A number of members are contacting us to say they did not receive the previous notice. Whilst the cause of the non-delivery is unknown, we have taken steps to ensure this email is distributed to all NPWS members and expect that the issue is resolved.
