The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas written to National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) senior management regarding the recent announcement that further National Parks will be created in NSW.
Your union is most disappointed that, to date, there remains no communication from management regarding the acquisition of  these further reserves and notes the lack of consultation on this issue. The only information we are aware of regarding this matter is through recent media announcements.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas continually advocated on behalf of our members regarding workload and stress. However, the NPWS has acquired a greater land size than the ACT recently without any additional resources.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøheld a meeting with our NPWS É«ÀÇÉçÇødelegates on Monday 8 November 2021. At the meeting it was agreed a direction will be issued to all É«ÀÇÉçÇømembers not to undertake any duties in these new acquisitions.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇønow directs our members not to undertake any duties regarding these new parks and reserves.
