National Heavy Vehicle Regulator: The long haul is almost over. Transport for NSW announces transition date

You probably would have seen the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) and Transport for NSW (TfNSW) announced on 1 August 2022 the Heavy Vehicle Inspection scheme and Heavy Vehicle National Law functions will transition to NHVR, which means employees will transition on that date, too.
There are a few issues that require resolution prior to transition, including matters such the É«ÀÇÉçÇøpressing TfNSW on the continued reinstatement of AIS qualifications and recognition of prior learning for AIS qualification. The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas written to TfNSW; a response is imminent.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇømet with TfNSW and NHVR today where we were provided with a brief overview of the transition timeline. Leading up to transition the É«ÀÇÉçÇøwill continue to meet with TfNSW and NHVR to consult on the transition, issues that arise and to resolve outstanding issues.
