Macquarie Enterprise Bargaining Update 4 November 2014

Your PSA/CPSU Bargaining Representatives met with the University for the first official Enterprise Bargaining meeting on 12 November 2014.

Whilst the initial meeting is generally taken up with establishment of the conduct of Bargaining including the release of delegates and schedule of meetings, the PSA/CPSU also presented the University with the Log of Claims endorsed by PSA/CPSU members at Macquarie University.

The Log of Claims had been developed using the feedback we received from YOU during our “Listening Meetings” across the University over the last few months, as well as input from your PSA/CPSU workplace delegates.

The PSA/CPSU is also in the process of obtaining financial information from the University which will inform the Bargaining process and key claims to be negotiated (including pay increases).

The next meeting, which will examine the issues PSA/CPSU members identified in the Log of Claims more closely, will take place on 25 November.

Whilst ALL staff will benefit from the PSA/CPSU bargained Enterprise Agreement, only members can decide on EXACTLY what the union bargains for.
