Life Without Barriers members’ update
30 September 2021
Life Without Barriers floats restructure to back-end operations
Life Without Barriers (LWB) has advised the CPSU NSW of plans to restructure to some of its back-end operations, as well as some senior managerial roles. LWB has assured the CPSU NSW there will be NO significant impact on staff providing direct care and support to clients.
Your CPSU NSW representatives and Delegates are meeting with LWB on 5 October to discuss this and other matters as part of our regular JCC meetings. We will keep you updated as more information comes to hand.
CPSU member contact
The CPSU NSW held two online member meetings on Monday, 27 September. This is an approach we plan to roll out again in the future and provides an opportunity for CPSU NSW staff and delegates to meet with members across the organisation.
We are also currently calling LWB members to touch base, so if you haven’t already heard from us, you will receive a call soon.
CPSU NSW representatives hope to be able again to visit LWB Group homes and team meetings in person. However, during lockdown restrictions we are attending team meetings and providing industrial support via online platforms and forums.
LWB Delegate vacancies
We have delegate vacancies for Nepean Blue Mountains and Central Coast Regional Districts for members who are interested in getting more involved.
