Latest step in Government’s march towards ADHC privatisation – October 2015 (PDF version)

On Saturday 17 October, the NSW Government announced it is seeking expressions of interest for private providers to replace Ageing, Disability and Home Care’s large residential centres in the Hunter.

This step will force 390 clients into private care without offering the choice to stay with ADHC. As members know, ADHC possesses the experience and resources to best provide the complex care that is often required. As well, there is an obvious impact on É«ÀÇÉçÇømembers who have dedicated many years to caring for the clients who will be moving.

To fight the wholesale privatisation of ADHC, all É«ÀÇÉçÇømembers will have to work together to keep our campaign in the public eye.

This is why it is crucial that ADHC members in the Hunter support the strike and rally that is planned for Wednesday 4 November.

Make plans to take action on the day and attend the rally at:

The Quadrangle at 670 Hunter St, Newcastle

1.30 – 2.30pm

4 November 2015
