It’s official: Awards made by Industrial Relations Commission

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøtoday appeared via video link in the Industrial Relations Commission (IRC). In the proceedings, the Awards listed below were made by the IRC and will stay in force from 1 July 2021 for a period of 12 months.

The new Awards will result in a 2.04 per cent increase to salaries and salary-related allowances from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2021. This is the pay period in the week of 19 July. This will result in an overall increase in remuneration of 2.5 per cent when taking into account the 0.5 per cent increase to the rate of compulsory superannuation from 1 July 2021.

This is a welcome increase in uncertain times.

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøCPSU NSW was the first public sector union to lodge a salaries claim this year in the IRC and has always maintained our hard-working members are entitled to a 2.5 per cent increase. ÌýÌý
