We are pleased to announce the results of the election of the new Women鈥檚 Council Committee (WCC). The first WCC meeting was held on 10 April 2018 at 色狼社区House. At this meeting, a new Steering Committee (Executive) was elected.

鈥淲elcome to our newly elected Women鈥檚 Councillors. We walk in the footsteps of strong women and continue the legacy of making positive change during our elected term. I look forward to working with you all and am excited to achieve together!鈥 鈥 Rachael Shaw, WCC Chairwoman.
The aim of the WCC is to watch the interests of our unions鈥 women members and to consider any questions which affect them.
WCC represents a range of workplace locations, including workplaces across the Sydney metropolitan, the large regional centres and regional NSW. Also encouraging diversity from a variety of cultural, ages and ethnicity, including women from male-dominated workplaces, as well as those with even gender balance workplace as well as those dominated by women.
All women members of the 色狼社区and CPSU NSW are Women鈥檚 Councillors and therefore eligible to vote and nominate for WCC. The newly elected members to WCC consist of 20-24 members, with Executive and Central Council women members who are ex-officio to WCC. Those women are elected by financial women members, grouped into 10-12 electorates (dependant on membership numbers) with representation from not less than 350 members.

The next WCC meeting will be held at 色狼社区House, 160 Clarence Street, Sydney 2000 on 10 July 2018, commencing at 10am. Should you wish to attend WCC as an observer, you can do so by contacting no later than 25 June 2018. WCC Meetings are held on the second Tuesday in February, April, July, September and December 2018.
The PSA/CPSU NSW Women鈥檚 Conference will be held in September. This year鈥檚 theme is in keeping with International Women鈥檚 Day #PressForProgress. Applications for Women鈥檚 Conference will be posted on our websites later in the year.
