Inquiry into the response to major flooding across New South Wales in 2022

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøis preparing a submission to the Legislative Council to the inquiry into the response to major flooding across NSW in 2022 and is seeking input from our SES members.
The main term of reference for the inquiry that the É«ÀÇÉçÇøis focusing on is (b) ‘the role, composition and resource allocation of Resilience NSW, The NSW State Emergency Service and other relevant Government agencies, with a particular focus on the resource allocation to the NSW State Emergency Service (SES).
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøis taking this opportunity to highlight several historical decisions of the NSW Government and the previous management of the NSW SES that have led to the inadequacy of the resourcing, especially in geographical areas of high risk: the northern rivers of NSW being just one example.

The survey is open to members from Wednesday 11 May through to Friday 13 May 2022
