É«ÀÇÉçÇøwins demarcation battle against Australian Transport Officers’ Federation (ATOF)
É«ÀÇÉçÇøwins demarcation battle over employees of the Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW (now part of Service NSW). The stoush had been going since the 1970s, when the Awards were divided by gender: the É«ÀÇÉçÇørepresented female employees and their Award; and the Australian Transport Officers’ Federation (ATOF) represented the male employees Award. The issue went through the Industrial Relations Court, The Australian Industrial Relations Commission, and finally the High Court of Australia. In March 1995 the É«ÀÇÉçÇøbegan representing all staff in the department.
