Government takes É«ÀÇÉçÇøto the Commission over October 8 Stop Work
On Friday 28 September the Government lodged a dispute against the É«ÀÇÉçÇøand the planned Stop Work action on Monday 8 October. This matter was listed before the Industrial Relations Commission on Tuesday 2 October.
The Government had lodged three dispute orders which the É«ÀÇÉçÇøopposed.
Following conciliation, the Government pursued two of those orders via a recommendation.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøwas asked to postpone or lift the industrial action which it refused to do.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøwas offered a meeting with the Minister to discuss the issues of concern to the PSA. The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas taken up that offer and a meeting will occur at 4pm Wednesday 3 October. The Judge then issued a recommendation that the É«ÀÇÉçÇøpostpone the industrial action and proceed to take up the offer of a meeting with the Minister.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøExecutive will consider its position on the recommendation following its meeting with the Minister tomorrow.
