Forestry Corp NSW: Staff mobility discussions with NSW Government

Forestry Corp NSW: Staff mobility discussions with NSW Government

  24 April 2026

CPSU NSW Branch Assistant General Secretary Troy Wright and union representatives are set to meet with the Industrial Relations Minister, the Hon Sofie Cotsis, on Tuesday 28 April to discuss Forestry Corp NSW (FCNSW) staff mobility options.

In the first instance, the CPSU NSW Branch is unapologetic about seeking to secure jobs for our members who may be affected by the establishment of the Great Koala National Park. Click here to see a copy of our letter to Minister Cotsis.

There are clearly roles in the NSW Public Service that share capabilities and skill sets with our members jobs at FCNSW, and we are keen to maximise those transitional opportunities.

We are calling on the NSW Government to put in place a tailored workforce management plan that prioritises mobility opportunities and minimises unnecessary job losses.

For more information you can contact CPSU NSW Industrial Officer Shane Howes on or your CPSU NSW and Forestry Field Officer Association Delegates.
