Corporate Services transformation update – Oct 2017
É«ÀÇÉçÇømet again with the department’s representatives on the CST Consultative Group on 16 October 2017.
FACS provided current questions-and-responses documentation, which updated the É«ÀÇÉçÇørepresentatives as to the many issues on foot concerning members CLICK HERE.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas been successful in obtaining alterations to the CST Restructure Management Plan. Most notably, having FACS agree to enable affected clerk 11/12 members in legal services to be included in the pool and invited to participate in Phases 1 and 2 of the RMP process.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøwas also provided with an action report CLICK HERE, which updated the parties as to issues actioned by HR Employee Relations as requested by É«ÀÇÉçÇødelegates.
The 16 October meeting also saw the É«ÀÇÉçÇøraise issues around various positions within the final design documents. Of most concern was the large amount of temporary positions within the payroll area and the large reduction of staff positions from 70 to 19 within the new structure. The question is, will there be enough staff to cope with the ongoing workload post June 2018 planned FACS step down?
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøalso raised the issue of workload and appropriate staffing in the Finance and Strategy Sourcing area CLICK HERE.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas also had numerous members contact the Members Support Centre with CST issues which have been the subject of advice or referred to Employee Relations for clarification and action.
As soon as FACS responds to the É«ÀÇÉçÇøconcerning issues affected, members will be advised.
The next meeting of the CST Consultative Group is scheduled for 21 November 2017.
