Environment Protection Authority: A guideline to working during COVID-19
11 November 2021
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøand Department of Planning Industry and Environment (DPIE) representatives recently discussed the ongoing COVID-19 situation as NSW begins to re-open from the current lockdown measures. Your union was advised during the this meeting that the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) was also part of DPIE’s COVID-safe plan.
At this point in time, DPIE and the EPA are taking a more risk-adverse approach by continuing the voluntary working-from-home provisions for those staff who are currently undertaking such work.
Staff who choose to return to offices can do so on a voluntary basis with the expectation that they are double-vaccinated. However, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas been advised some office-based staff are being requested to return to the office.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøadvises if any members are directed to return to office to contact the É«ÀÇÉçÇøMember Support Centre on 1800 772 679 immediately.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas also written to the EPA executive. You can read the letter HERE.
